Jeffrey Townsend is Elihu Professor of Biostatistics and Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in the School of Public Health at Yale University. Jeff received his PhD in 2002 from Harvard University. Jeff’s laboratory focuses on molecular evolution, cancer genetics, phylogenetic theory and phylogenetic study design, population dynamics and uncertainty analysis for mathematical models of the epidemiology of disease.
Jason Somarelli is a Medical Instructor in the Department of Medicine at Duke University and Director of Research for the Duke Comparative Oncology Group. Jason received his PhD in 2009 from Florida International University. Jason’s research uses evolutionary and ecological paradigms to understand cancer metastasis and therapy resistance.
